Systems Software Engineer – C2BMC (Associate, Experienced or Senior) Location: Colorado Springs, CO or Huntsville, AL. Position is 100% onsite.

Job Description Join Boeing’s Missile Defense Team to support the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS).

The role focuses on design, development, and testing of Java-based mathematical algorithms in C2BMC operational software.

Position Responsibilities

Design, develop, and test Java-based mathematical algorithms for C2BMC operational software.

Support the full software development lifecycle: design artifacts, implementation, code reviews, testing, and issue resolution.

Participate in agile planning and execution using established processes.

Develop software requirements and architecture to support MDS systems.

Define and deploy integration and test processes, tools, and metrics.

Execute and document integration and test activities.

Basic Qualifications (Required)

Ability to obtain Secret U.S. Security Clearance.

1+ years of experience in UML or other software architecture and design modeling techniques.

1+ years of experience with Agile software development lifecycle.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired)

Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, computer science, or related field.

3+ years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

5+ years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

2+ years of experience using Git in a Linux environment.

2+ years of experience with Java.

1+ years of experience with weapon system use-cases.

Implementation of MATLAB-based algorithms into Java-based software.

Strong Java J2EE/Java Spring development experience.

Experience with Eclipse, Maven, Gradle, and/or microservices in software development.

Experience with software performance optimization.

Experience using automated unit testing frameworks.

Security+ or equivalent certification within 60 days of starting.

Missile defense domain experience (not required).

Strong problem solving and communication skills.

Pay & Benefits Pay is based on candidate experience and qualifications.

Summary Pay Range for Associate level: $86,700 - $117,300.

For Experienced level: $107,100 - $144,900.

For Senior level: $127,500 - $172,500.

Export Control Requirements To meet export control compliance requirements, a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee) is required.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements as specified by 22 C.F.R.

Security Clearance This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.

An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post‑Start is required.
