About the Role The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for management and oversight of financial functions to include accounting, budget, credit, financial planning & analysis, insurance, tax and treasury for Fay’s portfolio of companies. This includes responsibility for providing strategic direction and developing the organization’s financial policies. The CFO will be chartered with building a strong, high‑impact team to enable the achievement of company objectives. The role will also ensure the proper financial controls are in place and financial transactions are aligned to support the overall business strategy while conforming with applicable laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Lead finance function across enterprise level in real estate, banking, consumer lending, consumer finance or residential mortgage servicing.
Strategically balance execution across functional capabilities and deliver cost‑effective, high‑quality execution.
Build and scale finance operation enabling growth, minimization of risk and strong financial position.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management; MBA/advanced degree highly preferred
10+ years’ experience in progressive finance leadership roles
5+ years’ experience in executive leadership roles
Deep experience in financial planning & analysis to include building and deploying budgeting and forecasting processes
5+ years’ experience in financial services; mortgage servicing experience preferred
Broad base of finance experience; knowledge of GAAP, budgeting and data analysis
Prior experience leading entrepreneurial ventures; driving financial growth strategies at company level
Experience raising capital; strategic management of credit facilities
Skills & Abilities
Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate at C‑Suite level
Effective management of teams, functional capability building and talent growth
Excellent communication skills; ability to explain complex financial concepts, strategies and thinking
Strategic vision and execution of financial plans; lead and drive change
Operational orientation; strong financial and technical acumen
Strong negotiation skills; ability to manage conflict
Well‑developed interpersonal skills; influence through collaboration
Ability to prioritize under tight deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
Compensation The compensation for this position includes a base salary and annual bonus.
