This is a Full Time Salaried, Night Shift position located at the Prebys Cardiovascular Institute on the Scripps Memorial La Jolla campus.

CVICU Specializes In Caring For Acute Patients As a Destination Center For Higher Level Of Cardiac Care In Southern California, CVICU Implements Progressive Programs And Therapies. As a Member Of Our Team, You Will Gain Experience In

Responsibilities As an RN Supervisor, you will ensure nursing practice reflects established standards of care and practice and a culture that promotes patient safety. Under the general direction of the Patient Care Manager, you share leadership responsibilities for the nursing unit, including managing daily staffing plans.
Ensures appropriate and timely use of bed placement technology and adherence to care processes for bed placement, patient transfer, patient transport, room cleaning and patient discharge.
Ensures the safe transition of patients through the continuum of care to include active participation of nursing staff in planning and coordinating patient care, and direct hand‑off to next appropriate level of care.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Active California RN license
American Heart Association, Healthcare Provider, BLS and ACLS Certifications
Two (2) years of adult acute care ICU RN experience
One (1) year of experience in a leadership role
Excellent skills in communication, problem‑solving, team development, planning and follow‑through.
Ability to exercise the authority and responsibility for assigned services based on the scope of the organization and complexity of patient care.
Preferred Qualifications
BSN – Bachelor’s degree in nursing
At least three (3) – five (5) years ICU RN experience highly preferred

Compensation Position Pay Range: $63.50-$91.97/hour
