Vice President, Pharmaceutical Commercial Strategy & Development
Global Head – Pharmaceutical Commercial Strategy and Development. Join Alcon to lead global pharmaceutical strategy, oversee portfolio management, and collaborate across R&D, BD & Licensing.
Responsibilities
Achieve target performance for ~$600 m global pharmaceutical portfolio, including priority brands in Glaucoma and DryEye.
Evaluate external development opportunities and grow Alcon’s pharmaceutical portfolio.
Lead cross‑functional innovation teams from development to first‑market launch; co‑lead Core team and deliver annual shared goals.
Develop and deliver commercial strategic playbook, lead launch team and partner to deliver core assets through the commercial programming process.
Drive market access / payer strategy and data for launch products.
Analyze market trends, business performance and competitive activity to inform global business strategies.
Provide global commercial leadership into S&OP process, capital requests and brand guidance to regional partners.
Collaborate with digital team to establish digital marketing and eCommerce strategy.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; 10 years of relevant experience.
6 years of demonstrated leadership in pharmaceutical strategy and portfolio management.
Strong pharmaceutical background with experience in strategic marketing.
Proven ability to lead cross‑functionally and drive innovation from development to launch.
Fluent in English; ability to read, write, understand and communicate in English.
Work hours: Monday‑Friday 8 am‑5 pm; 20 % or less travel.
Preferred Experience/Skills
MBA preferred.
Experience with business development evaluation.
Strong pharmaceutical background.
