We are seeking a skilled OD with experience in LASIK, ICL and refractive cataract surgery to join our well-established, high-end Las Vegas practices. This role includes validating patient candidacy, pre- and post-operative patient care, and counseling for patients considering LASIK, ICL or refractive cataract surgery. Prior work experience in a similar surgical practice or laser center is a plus.
Responsibilities
Patient counseling as to candidacy for surgery and ensuring patients understand expectations, benefits, and risks.
Pre- and post-operative evaluations and management.
Interpretation of diagnostic data such as corneal topography/tomography, OCT, IOLMaster.
Comprehensive eye exams and general optometry.
Qualifications
OD degree from an accredited institution.
Active Nevada optometry license.
Prior experience in refractive surgery and cataract environments.
Proficiency in diagnostic equipment.
Strong communication and patient relationship skills.
Preferred
Prior work experience in similar surgical practice setting or laser center.
Familiarity with Ziemer G4, Optovue OCT.
Familiarity with Alcon excimer (including Contoura), Ziemer femto, and LenSx femto lasers.
Position is full time, 1099, assisting in Cheyenne and Flamingo locations. Base pay dependent on experience (ranging between $140k-$150k), plus lucrative bonus potential.
