What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles
Manage multi-account cloud environments in compliance with DoD security requirements
Implement automated CI/CD pipelines and develop containerization strategies
Conduct regular security assessments and ensure compliance with DoD STIGs and RMF requirements
Mentor junior team members and provide technical support for deployment and infrastructure issues
What is Required (Qualifications)
3-5+ years of hands‑on DevOps/Cloud engineering experience
Minimum of 2 years of experience with AWS cloud services
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline from an accredited college or university
Strong understanding of GovCloud (US) patterns and boundary controls
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
AWS Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional, and/or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate
Kubernetes certifications: CKA/CKS
Mastery of Infrastructure‑as‑Code (Terraform and/or CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab/Jenkins)
Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Agile methodology
Understanding of RMF accreditation and control implementation under NIST SP 800‑53 Rev. 5
