This Cybersecurity Engineer position supports the U.S. Special Operations Command (SOCOM) at MacDill Air Force Base in Florida. In this role, Cybersecurity Engineers are instrumental in securing the command’s systems, networks, and data, ensuring the integrity and resilience of mission-critical information. They directly contribute to SOCOM’s broader initiative to enhance operational capabilities by effectively leveraging data and information systems. This position requires a proactive approach to cyber defense, working closely with cross-functional teams to identify vulnerabilities, implement protective measures, and respond to emerging threats in real time. Responsibilities

Cybersecurity Engineers actively red and blue team the system as well as provide continuous monitoring of the live cyber environment for all environments in one's control. Coordinate Discovery Meetings for various software requiring Authorization to Operate (ATO) or Assess Only (AO) Perform Annual Security Reviews Attend numerous meetings requiring documentation and updates on packages Research vulnerabilities for awareness within software code analysis Work with SOCOM Compliance Team for Software Approval Perform Monthly ACAS scans on various software Create and update Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) Requirements

Minimum of 1-year experience is required Experience with running red team/blue team security games and analysis Understanding of live monitoring of cyber environment for potential attacks, vulnerabilities, and log analysis Development of cybersecurity architecture with the ability to adapt quickly to evolving requirements At least “Interim Secret” within 30 days of hire is required, while Top Secret clearance eligible for SCI is preferred Preferred Qualifications
