Impact You’ll Make in this Role
Solidifying and maturing 3M’s global labor relations strategy
Leading a network of global labor-relations experts to share practices and identify key issues and concerns
Coordinating assessment of risk of labor- and employee-relations disruption
Providing governance of stakeholder communications regarding global labor relations issues
Developing and adapting global labor-relations tools, playbooks, and training
Leading deep-dives on labor-adjacent processes for optimization opportunities
Representing HR on cross-functional teams aligned to enterprise labor priorities
Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
Ten (10) years of combined experience in human resources, labor relations, and/or labor & employment law, in a private, public, government, or military environment
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Master’s degree in human resource management, or labor relations, or a law degree
Global labor relations or labor/employment law experience
Proven ability to lead by influence
Strong collaboration skills
Excellent oral and written English communication skills
Process orientation
Bias toward execution
Adeptness in navigating ambiguity
Demonstrated integrity and compliance mindset
Work location
3M Global Headquarters in St. Paul, MN (4 days in office)
Travel May include up to 20% domestic and/or international travel

Compensation & Benefits Applicable to US Applicants Only: The expected compensation range for this position is $212,947 - $260,268, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience. In addition, this position may be eligible for a range of benefits (e.g., Medical, Dental & Vision, Health Savings Accounts, Health Care & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, Disability Benefits, Life Insurance, Voluntary Benefits, Paid Absences and Retirement Benefits, etc.).
