Clinical Post Doc (Finance) The Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery at the University of South Florida and Tampa General Hospital is seeking a non‑rank faculty member at the level of Instructor for the Department of Surgery. Demonstrated competency in heart and lung transplant surgery is required. The team performs a high volume of heart and lung transplants each year. Additional interests in structural heart/valve surgery, robotic/minimally invasive procedures will be supported. Involvement in resident and medical student education is expected.

Minimum Qualifications

Medical degree from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate in the field of specialization, with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service.

Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Instructor.

Must hold or be eligible for a full, unrestricted Florida Medical License or foreign equivalent.

Must obtain and maintain a full unrestricted FL Medical License, maintain credentials in the USF Health faculty practice plan, and be a medical staff member in good standing at the hospitals to perform clinical duties.

Board Certified or Board Eligible in surgery or a relevant specialty.

Preferred Qualifications

Certified (or eligible for certification according to current requirements) by the American Board of Surgery or the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery in Surgery with added qualifications in CT Surgery.

Demonstrated proficiency in the field of Trauma/CT Surgery.

Demonstrated commitment to teaching health‑care professional students, residents, and practicing clinicians.
