In the Arm Central Technology Systems group we define SoC and system architectures and technology roadmaps across multiple sectors, including premium mobile, infrastructure, automotive and IoT.
We are looking for a SoC architecture expert to join and further strengthen this dynamic team.
We work in small teams, so your contributions will make a difference.
Responsibilities: Synthesize diverse sets of requirements into optimized physical device SoC solutions.
Collaborate with other SoC architects, system architects, system designers, IP teams and analysis teams.
Engage with specialists across Arm, from modelling, RTL, FPGA, Silicon and Software.
Explore and innovate architectural techniques to optimize SoC PPA, yields as well as total-cost-of-ownership of platforms with said SoCs.
Essential Skills and Experience: At least 5 years SoC architecture and 10 years of semiconductor industry experience.
Experience with design and architecture of SoCs on contemporary high-performance nodes (e.g. TSMC N5 and onward).
Strong understanding of functional architecture and how it affects the physical aspects of the SoC (area, power, thermals, signal integrity, etc.).
Understanding of computer architecture and microarchitecture concepts such as cache hierarchy, memory access efficiency, parallel architectures.
Passion for analysis and improvement.
Capable of working both in teams and independently.
High degree of initiative and a confident problem solver.
Good communicator, able to work and communicate at both a detailed and high level.
Desired Skills and Experience: Experience with clocking and reset architectures for high performance SoCs.
Experience with power architectures and/or modelling for high performance SoCs.
Experience with chiplet based solutions and their packaging (2.x/3D).
Experience with physical architecture (e.g. power & signal integrity, partitioning/floor-planning, D2D interconnects).
Experience with AEC-Q100 standard: Bonus skills and experience.
Experience with thermal solutions for the SoC: Experience with SoC boards.
Experience with ISO 26262: University degree (or equivalent experience) or PhD in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Analytics or a related field.
Salary Range: $241,100-$326,100 per year
