Purpose: In this role you'll:
Be the key leader on the US corporate access team, partnering on all GBM corporate marketing activities
Assign and/or coordinate corporate management non-deal roadshow schedules, industry conferences, client reporting and tracking of client-related activities
Build and maintain close working relationships, and act as key point of contact with GCM sales and trading, research, management, internal partners and external clients
Manage and mentor team members, recognize, escalage and provide guidance to team regarding status of priorities
Develop key initiatives and determine strategic direction for selected initiatives
What You’ll Do:
Manage or assign corporate marketing scheduling and strategy and liaise directly with corporate management teams; ensure follow up with feedback and correspondence
Work closely with Equity and FICC Sales, Research, Investment Banking, ECM and DCM to originate and execute non-deal and deal roadshows
Manage interns and rotation participants. Mentor team members
Assign and/or execute conferences and 1x1 meeting schedules for industry conferences
Involvement and awareness of all equity and FICC client-related activities, including corporate and analyst marketing, one-off events and ad hoc situations
Participate on strategic initiatives teams – including industry conference planning
Expert knowledge of applicable vendor systems – including Salesforce, Dealogic, ThomsonOne, IPREO and third-party interaction services
Liaise with C-suite corporate management and investor relations providing marketing intelligence and coordination of corporate access initiatives
Represent Corporate Access group on ad hoc committees relating to business development and client information services
Provide detailed analysis of shareholder information and comparative analysis to produce target lists of buy-side investors for corporate access roadshows
Ensure efficient running of each corporate access initiative and, where required, other investor events
Work closely with Equity and Debt Capital Markets providing support during IPOs, Secondary Issuances and M&A transactions for marketed deal transactions
Preparation of marketing pitches and proposal for new Corporate Access initiatives
Identify issues, escalage as required. Prepare reports on demand from various sources for management review
What You’ll Bring:
Effective management experience with the ability to gain confidence of key stakeholders (management teams and related teams within the organization) and clients of the firm
Highly detailed and effective communication skills
Thorough knowledge of Scotiabank practices, guidelines and relationships
Completion of CSC, CPH
University degree or equivalent
Familiarity with key systems such as Thomson and Bloomberg
Previous investor relations or fund management experience, an asset
Relationship building skills, proven performance in a fast-paced, team environment
Adaptability and professionalism
Excellent analytical, decision making and organizational skills
Database experience (including MS Office, CRM and database work)
Knowledge of internal operations within the organization
