The course offers a classic layout, beautiful tree‑lined fairways, and a welcoming environment for members, guests, and tournaments. The Club is committed to maintaining excellent course conditions and providing a first‑class golf experience year‑round.
Position Summary The Golf Course Superintendent is responsible for the overall maintenance, operation, and management of the golf course and clubhouse grounds. This includes leadership and supervision of the maintenance team, turf health and conditioning, irrigation systems, budgeting, and compliance with all environmental and safety regulations. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on, experienced leader with strong agronomic knowledge and organizational skills.
Responsibilities
Oversee all golf course maintenance operations, including turf, landscaping, irrigation, and equipment.
Manage, train, and schedule maintenance staff.
Develop and implement agronomic plans to ensure high‑quality playing conditions.
Maintain and repair irrigation systems and drainage.
Purchase supplies and equipment while managing inventory efficiently.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental and safety regulations.
Work closely with management and golf operations staff to coordinate course play, maintenance schedules, and events.
Qualifications
Minimum of 3–5 years of golf course superintendent or assistant superintendent experience preferred.
Associate or bachelor’s degree in turfgrass management, agronomy, horticulture, or related field preferred.
Current Florida pesticide applicator license or ability to obtain one.
Strong knowledge of turfgrass species, pest management, and irrigation systems.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays as needed.
