The Boeing Company is looking for an

Associate Software Engineer – Test & Verification

to join the B-1B AFS/GC Software team located in

Tinker AFB, OK . This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization.

The successful candidate will design, develop, and execute comprehensive test and verification activities to ensure the quality, reliability, and functionality of software products for the B-1B Platform. This role requires close collaboration with stakeholders to define software requirements and test strategies, as well as hands‑on experience in test environment setup, automated testing, and project management within a multifunctional team environment.

Position Responsibilities

Design, develop, and complete test and verification of software products to ensure quality, reliability, and functionality

Partner with stakeholders to review and identify software requirements, test objectives, test strategies, and testability

Design test plans, cases, and scenarios to meet software requirements and specifications

Set up and configure test environments, including hardware, software, and network configurations to replicate production environments

Execute test cases and scenarios to verify functionality, performance, and safety of software systems, identifying and reporting defects, issues, and potential vulnerabilities found during testing processes

Provide test results and feedback on software design and functionality to resolve defects, issues, and potential vulnerabilities

Create, document, and maintain test plans, procedures, cases, artifacts, metrics, and data in accordance with data privacy and security protocols and standards

Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to improve efficiency and effectiveness of testing processes

Perform software project management functions across test and verification activities involving multifunctional teams

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.

Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. Ability to obtain Secret U.S. Security clearance (Post‑Start).

Basic Qualifications

2+ years of experience with the Software Development Lifecycle (including Requirements Analysis, Design, Code, Integration & Test)

General experience working in an Agile software development lifecycle

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting bombers platform software or similar aerospace systems

Experience in Real‑time Operating System (RTOS) based development and testing

Knowledge of how to derive and allocate requirements and show traceability throughout the product lifecycle

Ability to design and develop automation of software tests, execute automated tests, track results, manage test data, and utilize results to improve software quality

Knowledge of implementation of software test frameworks, tools and simulations

Knowledge of software practices, programming languages, operating systems and computing technology applicable to laboratory and flight test systems

Knowledge of test program design
