Mason City, Iowa 8 12 Week Assignment Start ASAP Join a rapidly growing Cardiac Surgery Program at a respected Trauma Level II hospital in Mason City, IA. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Cardiac Anesthesiologist to contribute to a high-impact, evolving program with a newly stabilized cardiac team. Position Highlights:
* Setting: Hospital-based (occasional ASC coverage if needed) * Cardiac Surgeries: Avg. 1 per day (not daily); 90 open heart cases projected annually * Other Cases: 5 7 general surgical cases/day (required when no cardiac cases) * Operating Rooms: 8 ORs running concurrently * EMR: Cerner (transitioning to EPIC) + some paper charting * Staff Model: Solo practice with CRNA students occasionally rotating in OR
Candidate Requirements:
* Board Certified/Board Eligible in Anesthesiology (Cardiac BC preferred) * Active Iowa license or IMLC (LOQ required at name clear) * TEE Certified Must independently read, interpret & bill for TEE procedures * Cardiac Fellowship Preferred or extensive cardiac experience with TEE competency * Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, PALS * COVID Vaccinated Required
