Website and Marketing Manager – Cannon School The Website and Marketing Manager is responsible for executing strategies that enhance the school’s visibility, attract prospective students, engage current families, and support the institution’s mission.

Key Responsibilities

Actively maintain and update the school's website with current and engaging content.

Ensure website accuracy, usability, and alignment with school messaging.

Work with internal teams to keep key pages (admissions, events, news, etc.) up to date.

Partner with the Admissions team to attract and retain students.

Develop marketing campaigns targeting prospective families.

Manage digital and print materials, including brochures, videos, and advertising campaigns.

Work with a designer to develop and execute marketing assets that align with Cannon’s brand and overall marketing and communication strategy.

Partner with Advancement to create materials that support fundraising, donor recognition, and alumni engagement efforts.

Oversee and maintain an inventory of marketing assets, ensuring materials are up to date and aligned with school branding guidelines.

Support the creation, production, and distribution of marketing collateral, including brochures, flyers, banners, and other printed materials.

Coordinate with vendors for print production, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.

Initiate and support the planning and promotion of school events (open houses, fundraisers, performances, etc.), including creation of project timelines, supporting forms and documents.

Create promotional materials and coordinate event photography and videography.

Work closely with Advancement to market and promote donor and alumni events.

Maintain and organize marketing files, databases, and project timelines.

Process invoices, purchase orders, and vendor contracts related to marketing materials and events.

Coordinate scheduling, logistics, and communication for marketing-related projects.

Actively collaborate and initiative internal communication efforts to ensure consistency across departments.

Support across departments on creating and executing external communication assets.

Drive KPI reporting, track and analyze marketing performance to assess the effectiveness of campaigns.

Conduct market research to understand trends in education and school choice.

Utilize AI tools to enhance marketing initiatives while adhering to the school’s core value of integrity.

Actively review the school calendar and engage with departments to capture and document school life.

Coordinate with external photography contractors during scheduling conflicts.

Work with faculty, staff, and students to represent Cannon School positively and consistently across all content.

Ensure compliance with Data Protection and Safeguarding policies in all activities.

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in marketing, design, business, or a related field.

Equivalent 3-5 years of experience in marketing, preferably in an educational or nonprofit setting.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in independent schools or educational institutions.

Knowledge of branding and marketing strategies in a school environment.

Familiarity with admissions and development communications.

Technical Skills

Proficiency in website content management systems (e.g., Finalsite, or similar CMS platforms).

Experience with graphic design and layout software (Adobe Creative Suite).

Strong knowledge of print production and vendor coordination.

Familiarity with email marketing tools and customer relationship management (CRM) platforms.

Ability to use analytics tools (Google Analytics, social media insights).

Knowledge of SEO and digital marketing best practices.
