This position is on-site in Fishersville, VA. Are you passionate about connecting top talent with meaningful careers? We’re seeking a dynamic and strategic Talent Acquisition Consultant to join the Augusta Health team and play a key role in shaping our workforce. In this role, you’ll partner closely with hiring leaders to develop effective sourcing strategies, deliver a positive candidate experience, and ensure we attract and hire exceptional individuals who align with our mission and values.
The Talent Acquisition Consultant is responsible for managing the recruitment process from sourcing to onboarding for various positions within the organization. This role involves identifying and attracting top talent, screening candidates, coordinating interviews, and collaborating with hiring managers to meet staffing needs. The consultant plays a key role in creating a positive candidate experience while ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance with hiring policies.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent experience.
Minimum of one year professional level experience in a recruiting role to include some compensation experience; preferably in healthcare or another complex environment.
Prior experience with HRIS.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree in Human Resources or related field.
Relevant HR certification.
3-5 years or more of professional level experience in a recruiting role.
Experience in other functions of Human Resources.
Essential Job Duties
Strategic business partner responsible for consulting with hiring leaders on HR policies and recruitment strategies; partner with hiring managers on retention strategies and provide an overview of current openings.
Screen resumes, interview candidates by phone or in person, administer appropriate assessments and reference/background checks, make hiring recommendations, and deliver employment offers for both exempt and nonexempt positions within assigned healthcare areas.
Create and execute recruitment strategies to hire the best talent for Augusta Health.
Serve as an expert for recruiting candidates within assigned healthcare areas, including outreach for the hospital’s RN Residency Program.
Use traditional and nontraditional resources (career fairs, online job fairs, community network events, etc.) to identify and attract quality candidates.
Develop advertising programs (internal and external) to ensure high visibility with potential candidates.
Assist with coordination of candidate interviews and document interview feedback.
Manage internal transfer processes, including screening, interview coordination, and offer letters.
Follow up with candidates and hiring managers to obtain feedback on the recruiting process.
Analyze compensation comparators and calculate offer pay rates; evaluate and negotiate total compensation packages.
Partner with the Talent Acquisition Specialist on transfers, new hire paperwork, onboarding, bonuses, application processing, and routine recruitment needs.
Source candidates through a variety of recruitment platforms and methods.
Develop and maintain excellent relationships with internal and external clients to achieve staffing goals (e.g., search firms, schools, community programs).
Communicate employment information during offer delivery (benefits, compensation, etc.).
Ensure compliance with all federal/state laws and affirmative action plan requirements.
Manage current candidate activity in the applicant tracking system (ATS) and provide ATS guidance to candidates and hiring managers.
Track the onboarding process and status for new hires.
Maintain application/resume files and retention according to company policy.
Provide consultation on a variety of HR issues and support all areas of the HR Department.
Partner with Team Member Relations on workforce issues, HR policies regarding hiring, staffing investigations, and performance improvement plans.
