Scope of Position The Human Resources Manager position is in the Comanche Nation Entertainment (CNE) casino and is the primary resource for casino employees on Human Resources (HR) and Employee Benefits. The Human Resources Manager administers the personnel policies and procedures of CNE and advises management of the HR and employee benefits operation. The Human Resources Manager also works closely with the General Manager. The Human Resources Manager’s performance is essential to the casino reaching its full potential in providing a superior entertainment experience for its guests.

Duties and Responsibilities

Oversees and manages the casino’s Human Resources Office and administers the CNE employee benefits programs.

Serves as a consultant and assists managers and/or supervisors on personnel actions, employee benefits actions, and program activities.

Interacts with the Comanche Nation Gaming Commission, tribal programs, benefits providers, and Federal and State agencies to accomplish work for employees and ensure the casino complies with relevant regulations, rules, and laws.

Oversees the casino’s recruitment and personnel actions to ensure all employees within an area of responsibility receive fair and equitable treatment in accordance with applicable laws and policies.

Serves as the Supervisor for the casino’s Human Resources Department employees and performs the established personnel program tasks and employee management duties.

Will uphold high ethical standards both on and off the clock.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

At least 18 years of age.

At least one of the following:

Master’s degree in human resources or related area AND minimum 2 years of HR management experience.

Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related area AND minimum 5 years of HR management experience.

Or, combination of experience and training equal to ten (10) years of HR management experience.

Detail‑oriented and possess excellent organizational, time management, and follow‑up skills.

Computer literate with proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook.

Preferred: Professional Human Resources certification.

Demonstrable knowledge of applicable HR laws and contemporary emerging theories regarding HR.

Physical and Environmental Demands The Human Resources Manager regularly communicates and exchanges information with coworkers and guests and operates a computer and other office equipment. Work is performed throughout all areas of the facility where there may be flashing lights, and the noise levels vary from quiet to loud depending on the time of day, the specific location, and the amount of business. The Human Resources Manager must be able and willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays if need be. Must be able to work in a smoke‑filled environment. The workplace is also under constant surveillance both inside and outside the facility.
