Overview
Senior Instructional Design Specialist supports U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), Office of Security and Integrity (OSI), Chief of Office (CoS) to facilitate employee knowledge of OSI’s security and integrity mission through outreach coordination & external training program. Responsibilities
Develop comprehensive security master plan based on threat level, including physical & logical solutions. Assist in recommending processes, optimal approaches for USCIS Security Enterprise business planning. Create written security policies & procedures for business processes, incidents, scenarios. Plan, develop, coordinate OSI Training Program: draft modules, agendas, exams, structure, quarterly schedule, document attendance, facilitate in-person/virtual blended learning programs & LMS. Maintain policy & training metrics, provide periodic status updates to Government. Travel to USCIS locations within contiguous United States (≤25% annual). Assist Government employees in preparing training materials, coordinating sites, delivering federally approved training materials & knowledge assessment to meet minimum qualifications per task orders. Recommend new or changes to existing procedures, outreach materials & training. Participate in security working groups, meetings, team development sessions; provide feedback, suggestions, recommendations on policy & procedure changes. Requirements
U.S. citizenship Associate degree or higher 2+ years using Captivate or other instructional development software 5+ years developing & designing online courses Basic knowledge of Emergency Management & or Occupational Health & Safety disciplines Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills, including SharePoint Strong technical writing skills Strong oral & written communication skills Successful completion of corporate background investigation, including criminal & credit checks Ability to obtain & maintain a government suitability determination/security clearance Work Environment
Full‑time position, Monday–Friday onsite at government facility in Camp Springs, MD Office environment; may also include other work environments as required EEO Statement
