The Executive Assistant performs complex, highly responsible and confidential secretarial and administrative support activities for RGA's EVP, Chief Legal Officer and, as appropriate, for other senior members of the legal department.

Location This is an incredible opportunity to support our EVP & Chief Legal Officer directly in RGA's new New York City office.

Key Responsibilities

Performs complex secretarial and administrative support duties which include, but are not limited to: creating / preparing general to complex correspondence and spreadsheets, preparing varied and complex reports, creating / designing general to complex PowerPoint presentations and presentation materials, scheduling and maintaining complex schedules in Outlook calendar, and overseeing and coordinating internal and external events.

Performs advanced administrative support duties which include, but are not limited to: coordinating travel and accommodations and coordinating / scheduling in-person and virtual meetings and conference calls with internal and external participants, including board members and executives at RGA and other companies.

Handles executive-level internal and external communications which include, but are not limited to: handling incoming phone calls, returning phone calls, responding to voice-mails, managing incoming e-mails by forwarding and responding to e-mails as appropriate, creating and mailing letters and memos on behalf of Executive, assisting with team communications (including drafting internal team communications, helping with planning of town halls and other team meetings).

Acts as project manager on assigned projects and provides administrative assistance as needed on other special projects, including managing, prioritizing and keeping track of many different requests, tasks and projects and providing regular status reports to Executive.

Assists with operations of the legal department generally, including providing support with respect to management of outside counsel expenses and other budget-related matters (responding to requests from the finance team, keeping track of travel and entertainment expenses, and supporting Executive in the annual budget process), and performing department records management duties (electronic and paper), including organizing, retrieval, archiving and storage.

Oversees and performs office management duties.

Performs general administrative support duties which include, but are not limited to: opening and distributing mail, preparing outgoing mail, filing and file maintenance, and copying, faxing and scanning.

Candidate Requisites Education & Experience

High school Diploma or General Education Degree (GED), Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree is preferred

Minimum of 7 years of executive / administrative assistance experience

Skills & Abilities

Advanced Word, Intermediate Excel and PowerPoint skills

Basic math skills

Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality

Compensation Range $64,200.00 - $91,750.00 Annual (if working and residing in NYC metropolitan area)

Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan. RGA also maintains a full range of health, retirement, and other employee benefits.
