This is a hybrid position reporting into our Chicago, IL office, requiring 3 days a week in the office. The position will provide senior project management support to aid in the successful implementation of high‑profile projects and programs. Lead a team that supports the implementation of various Education Center and AMA Ed Hub projects. Responsible for collaborating with cross‑functional teams, engaging with stakeholders, and ensuring successful project delivery from inception to completion. This role will lead planning, executing, and overseeing high‑impact projects that align with AMA’s and AMA Education Center’s strategic goals. Responsibilities

Manage multiple medium to highly complex projects or programs simultaneously. Lead project planning workshops and meetings. Collaborate and coordinate the efforts of cross‑functional teams, including Marketing, Operations, Editorial Services, Content Services and Partnership Development to define project goals and success criteria. Develop and maintain project plans outlining scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements related to strategic initiatives. Create and maintain project documentation, including status reports, dashboards, and other documents and presentations to key stakeholders. Manage risk, issues and expectations and ensure alignment between project goals and business objectives. Track interdependencies of workstreams. Collaborate with peers to improve standard project management practices. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to leverage diverse expertise and ensure successful project outcomes. Communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, ensuring alignment and buy‑in throughout the project lifecycle. Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, fostering a collaborative and positive working environment. Identify and implement project management frameworks, principles and staff development, as needed. Participate and manage strategic planning, budgeting, contract initiation, and cross‑project resource sharing, for strategic initiatives as assigned. Recognize and identify potential areas where existing project governance process and procedures require change. Provide management oversight for staff including hiring, training, and ensuring compliance. Responsible for setting objectives, evaluating employees performance and fostering a collaborative team environment. Responsible for developing staff’s knowledge and skills to support career development. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred or equivalent work experience and high school diploma or equivalent education required. Minimum 7+ years of project management experience required; preferably in a product organization or healthcare field. Experience in people management required; able to attract and develop talent. Project management certification strongly preferred. Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects. Strong knowledge and experience with project management methodologies, tools and techniques (including Waterfall, Agile and hybrid project management methodologies) and an understanding as to when each is appropriate. Intermediate analytical skills to support reporting and analysis of metrics. Supervisory experience required. Location: 330 N. Wabash Avenue, Chicago, IL 60611.
