Responsibilities

Oversee all equity‑related accounting and work closely with the private equity partners.

Oversee the capital statements, dividend and distribution calculations, account reconciliations and discrepancy research.

Ensure proper integration with financial reporting tools.

Intercompany Accounting

Lead intercompany accounting across multiple legal entities, ensuring accurate transaction recording, reconciliations, and eliminations. Assist with the preparation for a new intercompany system.

Develop and maintain policies for intercompany settlements, allocations, monthly reporting.

Collaborate with Tax, Treasury, and FP&A teams on entity structure, funding, and capital flows.

Ensure complete and accurate consolidation of intercompany balances for financial reporting and audit purposes.

Shared Services

Oversee the Shared Services organization, managing core accounting operations including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll accounting.

Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency, scalability, and internal controls.

Develop and monitor KPIs and SLAs to measure service quality, accuracy, and timeliness.

Partner with technology and finance teams to implement ERP enhancements and automation tools that support organizational growth.

Leadership & Strategy

Serve as an advisor to the Accounting Department, providing insights on accounting implications for strategic initiatives, system implementations and investments.

Build and lead a high‑performing accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional development.

Ensure strong internal controls, SOX compliance, and adherence to financial policies and procedures.

Partner with Finance, Development, and Operations to align accounting practices with business strategy and data center project execution.

Lead initiatives that enhance the efficiency and scalability of the accounting organization through technology and process improvements.

THE DETAILS

Location: Denver, CO – at least 3 days in office

Travel: less than 10%

Compensation: $245,000 to $255,000 + annual bonus potential

MUST-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA preferred.

15+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within a data center, real estate, infrastructure, or capital‑intensive industry.

Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP, equity accounting, and consolidation across multi‑entity structures.

Proven experience leading shared services functions and driving accounting process improvements.

Strong technical knowledge of accounting systems (Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, or similar) and automation tools.

Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams and deliver results in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.

Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills with a strong attention to detail.
