Base pay range $170,000.00/yr – $190,000.00/yr
The Account Director will lead the account management team to achieve sales and growth objectives. As a key leader of the Sales team, the role will develop and implement a strong commercial strategy while working collaboratively with the Customer Marketing & Brands teams to optimize the plan.
Hybrid position based out of our Chicago office, with an expectation of three days per week of in‑office collaboration. Remote candidates are welcome for qualified candidates who can work in a hybrid capacity or full remote.
Key Responsibilities
Drive revenue growth for all Global Consumer Brands at retail.
Deliver financial budget and lead the planning of retail, gross and net sales plans.
Deliver financial forecasting, performance tracking and commercial reporting (weekly, monthly, quarterly).
Partner with account team, demand planning and supply to secure planned receipts and inventory levels to ensure on‑shelf availability.
Develop commercial and integrated activity plans to win; increase share of market.
Set, implement and evaluate integrated activity and promotional plans.
Set assortments and distribution plans.
Lead commercial quarterly brand days, top‑to‑top and negotiations.
Own relationships with the retailer’s team including Divisional Merchandise Manager, Buyers, Planners, Marketing, E‑Commerce, Merchandising and Finance.
Manage and develop account management team including budgeted expenditures.
Lead negotiations with retailer including terms discussions, space and location agreements and activations.
Work closely with retailer visual merchandising team, internal Merchandising and Brands teams to develop and execute appropriate merchandizing solutions.
Own major initiatives, trials, tests within retailer.
A Bit About You
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, sales or related field required.
Minimum of 7+ years of mass beauty/personal care sales experience with demonstrated expertise in developing processes and procedures.
Extensive experience developing & executing sales strategies and plans.
Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to think and perform creatively.
Outstanding customer service capabilities with a proven track record of establishing solid business partnerships.
Ability to interact and influence with all levels of management internally and with retail partner.
Proven category and brand analytic capabilities and solid computer skills.
Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
20% traveling.
