Base pay range $98,000.00/yr - $130,000.00/yr
Senior Design Engineer The Senior Design Engineer will be responsible for leading program-level designs and prototype fabrications for complex enclosure solutions that produce the required performance and features to provide greater value for our customers. This position will require primarily job-centered decision-making and close collaboration with others involved in the process. The Senior Design Engineer will manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities
Lead projects from concept through to launch.
Provide technical support in plastic part design and processing.
Draw and design package preparation and release.
Develop requirements and analyze product design data to determine conformance to established design selection criteria, standardized parts and equipment use, and design-to-cost practices.
Maintain and upgrade existing products.
Establish test plans and execute 3rd party certifications.
Lead the development and testing of prototypes for new product ideas and create product specifications.
Create and maintain project development plans and create and execute Engineering Change Notices (ECNs).
Lead cross-functional teams to design, develop, test and redesign existing products.
Generate and release full bills of material for manufacturing.
Identify non-conformances and root causes to initiate and implement solutions.
Assist in other duties as required.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering - Required
10 years of experience in Plastics (injection, structural foam molding) - Required
Understanding of Product Life Cycle Management, RCA, and 3D printing required
Understanding of Tooling and its design for review with 3rd party tool designers required
5 years of CREO/Windchill and or additional 3D CAD experience - Definitely a Plus
Familiarity with industry standards including: Telcordia Specification, TIA, SCTE, FOA, etc. and the testing required
Bonus Skills
5 years of CREO/Windchill and or additional 3D CAD experience
FRP Composite design and manufacturing
Fiber Optics experience desired (patch panel, splice trays, handling, and routing)
Fiber optic measurement (power meter, OTRD, fiber microscope)
Knowledge of MS Project and Visio desired
Seniority level: Mid-Senior level
