Senior Design Engineer - SMTT
— Schaumburg, IL (onsite to start, transitioning to 2 days WFH / 3 days onsite). Summary: Join a dynamic team as a Senior Design Engineer focused on leading program-level designs and prototype fabrications for innovative complex enclosure solutions. Responsibilities
Lead design projects from concept through to product launch Prepare and release detailed design packages Develop product requirements and analyze design data for conformance and cost effectiveness Manage existing product upgrades and enhancements Establish test plans, oversee prototype development, and coordinate third-party certifications Generate and maintain bills of materials for manufacturing Lead cross-functional teams to design, test, and refine products Identify, investigate, and resolve non-conformances Develop and implement engineering change notices (ECNs) Qualifications
Bachelor\'s degree in General or Mechanical Engineering; Master\'s degree preferred Minimum of 7 years of product development experience in a manufacturing setting Proven experience with sheet metal; familiarity with composite materials preferred Strong proficiency with CREO/Windchill (at least 5 years), or comparable 3D CAD systems Physical capability to perform regular lifting up to 15 pounds Willingness to work onsite initially, with a transition to a blend of in-office and remote work Details
