The Event Manager is responsible for solicitation of new business, handling inquiries, servicing converted groups, selling and servicing Corporate and Social events with or without sleeping rooms, ensuring group and meeting planner satisfaction, negotiating contracts, planning events, selecting menus, servicing groups as it relates to catering and convention services, preparing and presenting proposals, maintaining documentation and reports, coordinating client requests, and collaborating with sales, catering, and support staff. Qualifications
A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast‑paced environment Refined verbal and written communication skills Must be proficient in general computer knowledge Candidates should be extremely detail oriented and organized Prefer candidate has completed PSS Experience with luxury weddings/social events/fine dining A minimum of 1‑3 years of hotel sales or comparable experience preferred Prefer completion of a Hyatt Corporate Management Training Program or equivalent training Prefer selling, negotiating, business writing and presentation skills training Salary Range
$61,800 to $75,000 Benefits
