Base pay range
$123,600.00/yr - $162,300.00/yr
Jacobs is seeking an experienced HVAC Engineer to deliver innovative design solutions for our heavy industrial clients. The role involves field investigations, client interfacing, sizing and selecting equipment, and preparing construction design packages.
Responsibilities
Layout and design of HVAC systems. Develop design criteria for HVAC systems covering comfort, temperature/humidity control, pressurization, and cleanliness. Prepare conceptual and preliminary design documents, including sizing calculations, Air Flow Diagrams, P&IDs, and general arrangements. Develop final design documents including specifications, sequences of operation, duct/piping layout, and construction documents. Coordinate with other disciplines.
Qualifications
Professional Engineering License. At least ten years’ experience in design of HVAC systems for industrial facilities. Thorough knowledge of codes and standards related to HVAC design. Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Adaptability to work within a fast‑paced team environment with multiple deadlines. Ability to lead a building mechanical team and collaborate with other disciplines remotely. Software experience in Revit, Carrier HAP, Trane Trace 700, and Trane Trace 3D (preferred). Experience in design of plumbing/utility systems (preferred).
