Senior Mechanical HVAC Engineer
Jacobs is looking for an experienced, high-energy HVAC Engineer to join our Building Mechanical team and deliver innovative HVAC design solutions for heavy industrial clients.
Base pay range $123,600.00/yr – $162,300.00/yr
Responsibilities
Layout and design of HVAC systems.
Develop design criteria for HVAC systems including general comfort, temperature/humidity control, pressurization, and cleanliness requirements.
Prepare conceptual and preliminary design documents, sizing calculations, Air Flow Diagrams, P&IDs, and general arrangements.
Develop final design documents with specifications, sequences of operation, duct/piping layout, and construction documents for chilled water, cooling water, etc.
Coordinate with other disciplines.
Qualifications
Professional Engineering License.
At least ten (10) years’ experience in HVAC design for industrial facilities.
Thorough knowledge of codes and standards related to HVAC design.
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
Adaptability to fast‑paced team environment with multiple deadlines.
Ability to lead a building mechanical team on a project and collaborate remotely.
Additional Desired Experience
Software experience in Revit, Carrier HAP, Trane Trace 700, and Trane Trace 3D.
Experience in plumbing/utility system design.
