Job Description
The Physician Recruiter is responsible for the full life-cycle recruitment of clinical providers. This role involves managing a high-volume desk focused on sourcing and placing physicians (MDs), nurse practitioners (NPs), physician assistants (PAs), and other licensed healthcare professionals. Key tasks include sourcing, qualifying, screening, conducting interviews, facilitating interviews with clinical leadership, conducting debriefs and decision-making sessions, and placing successful candidates. The ideal candidate will independently manage a large number of open requisitions and coordinate communication between hiring managers and candidates across multiple specialties and care settings.

Responsibilities
Build credibility and strong relationships with clinical and administrative stakeholders through subject matter expertise, realistic expectations, and consistent delivery.
Obtain a deep understanding of provider openings, including clinical scope, credentialing requirements, and competencies needed for success.
Manage internal transfers and external hires, ensuring compliance with HR and medical staff credentialing processes.
Screen and qualify candidates based on licensure, clinical experience, and alignment with organizational values and care standards.
Ensure a positive candidate experience by providing timely feedback, guiding candidates through the interview and credentialing process, and negotiating fair and competitive offers.
Navigate and update applicant tracking system (ATS) requisitions, postings, and third-party platforms daily.
Partner with hiring managers and department heads to fill provider roles efficiently using best practices in healthcare recruitment.
Collaborate with onboarding and credentialing teams to ensure a smooth transition from offer acceptance to start date.
Coach hiring managers on interviewing techniques, decision-making, and compliant hiring practices specific to clinical roles.
Formulate and execute diverse sourcing strategies to build long-term pipelines of qualified providers.
Develop and maintain a pool of active and passive candidates through outreach, networking, and digital sourcing.
Research and recommend new sourcing channels for clinical talent acquisition.
Negotiate offers and close candidates while ensuring alignment with compensation benchmarks and regulatory requirements.
Develop recruitment materials, monitor internal job boards, and prepare external postings for provider roles.
Draft offer letters and employment agreements in collaboration with HR and legal teams.
Follow all corporate hiring policies and federal/state/local legal requirements, including those specific to healthcare employment.
Network through industry associations, medical schools, residency programs, and provider communities.
Maintain accurate reporting and contribute to the development of improved recruitment metrics and dashboards.
Assist with special projects and strategic initiatives as needed.
Essential Skills
3+ years of recruitment experience
Bachelor's Degree
Experience recruiting MDs, Providers, PAs & NPs
Proficiency in ATS and recruiting platforms
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience in full cycle recruiting
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Human Resources and Talent Acquisition expertise
Knowledge of healthcare recruitment best practices
Work Environment
This is a remote position with work hours from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. Occasional travel to the Peekskill office and career fairs is required, potentially up to 1-2 times per month, depending on the time of year.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Peekskill, New York.
Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.86 - $45.67/hr.
