Senior Product Quality Engineer
3M is seeking a Senior Product Quality Engineer to collaborate with innovative 3Mers around the world. This role offers an opportunity to transition from a variety of private, public, government, or military experience into a 3M career. Impact You’ll Make
Drive quality tools in new product introduction to accelerate projects while mitigating risk by ensuring consumer needs are met, test methods are robust, specifications are well defined, and manufacturing processes are capable. Support laboratory, products, processes, and systems such as addressing customer complaints and working with the team on corrective actions. Engage with customers and consumers through complaint investigations, resolution, and trending including monthly Quality Dashboard reports. Investigate and analyze non-conforming product testing and disposition. Enhance existing product quality through continuous improvement methods and tools such as Product and Process Understanding (PPU), Design of Experiments (DOE), Six Sigma, and Quality at the Source. Retain commercialized product design intent and product integrity as materials, processes, methods, and specifications change. Support design changes inspired by quality improvement, source of supply changes, or cost reduction efforts. Your Skills And Expertise
Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution. Three (3) years of combined experience in Quality Engineering, Supplier Management, Quality Management Systems, Six Sigma, Statistical Analysis, and/or Design Control within a private, public, government, or military environment. Additional Qualifications
Master’s degree or higher from an accredited institution. Experience working with ISO9001:2015. Experience working with suppliers in a quality improvement capacity. Experience with statistical analysis. Manufacturing experience. ASQ certification. Work Location
On-site at 3M Center, Maplewood, MN (minimum 4 days a week in the office). Travel
Up to 10% domestic and international travel may be required. Legal Work Authorization
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status). Compensation
US compensation range: $122,292 – $149,468 (base pay plus variable incentive pay if eligible). Benefits include Medical, Dental & Vision, Health Savings Accounts, Life Insurance, Paid Absences, and Retirement Benefits.
