Job Title: Surgical Technologist- Same Day OR IP Department:University Hospital | Same Day Surgery Operating Room The Surgical Technologist (ST) functions as an integral member of a team of care providers in the Operating Rooms of the Perioperative Services at the OSU Medical Center. The surgical teams reflect a culture of cooperation, enthusiasm and mutual respect. The team, consisting of the Surgeon, Anesthesiologist, Patient Care Coordinator – Registered Nurse (PCC-RN), Surgical Technologist (ST), Student Surg Tech (SST), Perioperative Technician, Anesthesia Technician and Office Assistants, provide patient care and supportive services that are directed towards achievement of maximizing patient care outcomes, improving customer service levels, reducing the length of hospitalization and decreasing costs. Patients and their family will experience the benefits of patient focused care through the integrated skills of all care team members.

Minimum Qualifications For Hire : Must be a high school graduate or possess the GED, and must have completed formal Surgical Technology Training Program. Previous experience in the Operating Room as Surgical Technologist is preferred.
