Surgical Technologist- Same Day OR IP

The Surgical Technologist (ST) functions as an integral member of a team of care providers in the Operating Rooms of the Perioperative Services at the OSU Medical Center. The surgical teams reflect a culture of cooperation, enthusiasm, and mutual respect. The team includes the Surgeon, Anesthesiologist, Patient Care Coordinator Registered Nurse (PCC-RN), Surgical Technologist (ST), Student Surg Tech (SST), Perioperative Technician, Anesthesia Technician, and Office Assistants. Together, they provide patient care and supportive services aimed at maximizing patient care outcomes, improving customer service, reducing hospitalization length, and decreasing costs. Patients and their families will benefit from patient-focused care delivered through the coordinated efforts of all team members. Minimum Qualifications For Hire : Must be a high school graduate or possess a GED, and must have completed a formal Surgical Technology Training Program. Prior experience as a Surgical Technologist in the Operating Room is preferred.
