Position Summary:
The College of Nursing (CON) is seeking a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Program Director. This position will be part of the Clinician Educator track and will work closely with the Assistant Dean of Professional Graduate Programs and the DNP Program Coordinator. The assigned workload will be per policy. In addition to the contract salary, this position has an administrative performance supplement for a directorship, which is $5,000 annually and is prorated based upon effective dates of service.
Responsibilities
Deliver, evaluate, and enhance student experiences in the DNP core curriculum (DNP core, EIP core, and systems learning courses).
Coordinate courses, faculty, and students, facilitating effective communication to support the development and delivery of the DNP general curriculum.
Maintain effective communication with the Assistant Dean of Professional Graduate Programs and other Program Directors, ensuring adherence to CON and University policies.
Work directly with Student Services personnel to ensure the integrity of the admissions process and adherence to CON admissions policy for post-Masters DNP applicants.
Develop and maintain relationships with community partners, ensuring students are prepared to develop, implement, and evaluate their DNP scholarly projects.
Recruit and retain students in the program, conducting gap analyses for post-master's students and actively orientating new faculty.
Work with the Program Evaluation Committee to develop and implement a comprehensive evaluation plan and collaborate with faculty to interpret data for continuous program improvement.
Minimum Qualifications
Doctoral degree in nursing or related field.
Knowledge of DNP curriculum and curriculum development.
Experience teaching within a graduate nursing program.
Preferred Qualifications
Doctor of Nursing Practice degree.
Experience in program management, including curriculum refinement and student progress.
Demonstrated leadership in mentoring and developing emerging leaders within healthcare settings.
Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, and experience working with broadly diverse communities.
Team building skills to assemble and lead a diverse team of faculty and staff, fostering a collaborative and productive working environment.
