BANNER – UNIVERSITY MEDICAL CENTER TUCSON is a nationally recognized Level 1 Trauma Center and a Magnet‑accredited hospital located on the Arizona University College of Medicine campus. Responsibilities

Investigate and resolve employee relations concerns for multiple facility leaders, ranging from attendance and performance to complex interpersonal and regulatory issues.

Provide guidance to managers and HR staff on employment law, affirmative action, ADA, and other HR regulations.

Analyze facility HR statistics, complaint investigations, external charges, turnover, and employee engagement to identify trends and potential issues.

Maintain accurate documentation in the case management system and ensure timely communication of status to involved parties.

Develop and deliver training for leaders, HR staff, and employees to ensure consistency and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Collaborate with system, region, entity, and department HR teams to develop and implement goals and objectives, enhance performance improvement, and maintain effective communication.

Coach and counsel managers on appropriate application of programs and policies, often relaying highly sensitive messages and dealing with highly complex, emotional situations.

Minimum Qualifications

Four‑year degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.

Three to five years as an HR generalist with experience in employment law, conflict resolution, employee relations, and general HR management.

Proficiency in compensation principles, recruiting, and organizational development.

Strong interviewing skills, attention to detail, confidentiality, and the ability to communicate effectively and sensitively about employee issues.

Demonstrated ability to conduct investigations, perform research, and accurately document findings to support the company’s position.

Excellent business case development, project management skills, and PC skills, including working knowledge of the Microsoft environment.

Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced team environment and handle confidential information professionally.

Preferred Qualifications

Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) designation.

Past experience in a health care environment.
