Annuity Actuarial Finance Lead , a hybrid role that drives strategic actuarial and financial insight for our Individual Annuity line.
Position Overview As the Annuity Actuarial Finance Lead, you will deliver actuarial and finance results for Individual Annuities, providing analysis and recommendations that support strategic objectives and financial planning. This role reports within the Individual Solutions Finance team and focuses on earnings, capital and other financial metrics.
Responsibilities
Lead analysis and explanation of key financial metrics for Individual Annuity quarterly and annual statements.
Evaluate actual-to-expected experience on Individual Annuity interest, expense, and margin metrics.
Collaborate with Valuation, Modeling, and Financial Planning & Analysis functions to support transparent, accurate, and unified financial calculations and reporting.
Support annuity valuation and product development teams on the implementation of actuarial assumptions and in‑force management decisions.
Lead the development of annuity financial projections and supporting narratives for the annual Goals and Plans cycle.
Provide sensitivities, projections, and analysis to identify drivers of results and understand financial emergence under different scenarios.
Serve as subject‑matter expert on enterprise initiatives requiring individual annuity expertise.
Communicate emerging trends to stakeholders and provide recommendation to drive results.
Support ad‑hoc analysis for the board, executive leadership, rating agencies and other stakeholders.
Collaborate with Product Development and other stakeholders on monitoring and managing financial targets.
Qualifications
Fellow of the Society of Actuaries designation (FSA) or equivalent credentials.
5+ years of annuity industry experience in finance, valuation, modeling, or product development.
Experience with financial statements and the regulatory environment governing annuity products.
Proven analytical, critical thinking, project‑management and prioritization skills.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to explain concepts to finance and non‑finance personnel.
Ability to build and influence stakeholder relationships.
Balance analytical rigor with practical execution to meet evolving business demands.
Hybrid Work Arrangement This position will be in a hybrid working arrangement. Associates are expected to work virtually and in our offices; if you live within a 90‑minute commute you will join us 3 days each week at the office.
Pay The estimated base pay range for this job is $105,000.00 - $196,000.00. Pay may vary depending on job‑related factors, individual experience, skills and knowledge.
