Summary This position is responsible for managing inventory (raw materials, packaging components, and finished goods), supporting production operations, and all inbound/outbound dock traffic for a 3‑shift operation. The role emphasizes operational best practices, safety, and quality, and is responsible for shipping KPI’s for our customer, ongoing discussions on improvements, and developing plans, policies, and procedures to ensure all personnel comply with SOPs, BPPs, and Work Instructions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Directs and monitors all warehouse personnel and warehouse operations, including shipping and receiving, forklift operations to ensure production schedules are met on‑time and in‑full.
Coordinates day‑to‑day activities related to pulling and staging materials and components that support meeting the production schedule.
Develops policies and procedures that ensure proper accountability of inventory, timely reconciliation of inventory variances, and management of inventory levels.
Audits and reconciles SAP transactions related to inventory movements and initiates corrective actions to resolve discrepancies.
Partners directly with customers on any warehouse and/or logistic objectives, including distribution activities, book‑to‑book reconciliations, and physical inventory valuations.
Identifies and delivers training on SOPs, On‑the‑Job procedures and work instructions based on job responsibilities. Ensures warehouse personnel are adequately trained.
Leads the annual department budgeting process and controls operational costs to ensure the department operates within budget.
Collaborates with cross‑functional teams to support the implementation of new products and equipment.
Supports investigations related to errors, safety incidents, and quality defects to ensure timely resolutions and preventative solutions to reduce future risks.
Supports the safety initiatives and processes that help identify and correct any unsafe work conditions. Provides recommendations for improvement to management and the safety department.
Supports Lean manufacturing strategies and continuous improvement.
Leads, assigns, and manages the activities of the Warehouse to ensure optimal results in safety, quality, productivity, and cost.
Trains, coaches, and develops employees within the department to ensure performance expectations and department objectives are met according to established standards; manages performance expectations and delivers feedback.
Completes employee performance reviews, preliminary budgetary information, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WIs), {insert any other documents} and other paperwork according to established company policy.
Maintains confidentiality of employee personnel records and salary information; {inserts any other confidential information} other sensitive and confidential information.
Exhibits regular and predictable attendance and works outside of the normal schedule as needed due to workplace demands (e.g. supporting off‑shifts). Performs other related duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications
BS/BA preferred or 4 years in warehousing environment, preferably in the consumer products industry in lieu of degree.
Minimum of 4 years management experience in a manufacturing environment, management experience in a warehouse environment preferred.
Previous experience supervising the functions of production planning/scheduling and inventory control.
SAP experience, preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of: Microsoft Office Suite, Good Manufacturing Practices and OSHA Safety Requirements.
Skill in solving problems; prioritizing work to ensure deadlines are met; managing, coaching and developing others.
Ability to: manage multiple and competing priorities; resolve difficult situations with no clear direction; adapt to change; develop and maintain good working relationships; lead and develop a high‑performing team; develop and maintain processes and workflows; be detail‑oriented; communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to a diverse group of individuals; present information to large and small groups; be organized and work quickly and efficiently with short deadlines; multi‑task; read, comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions, including SOPs; work independently and as part of a team; operate a computer; wear required PPE as needed when walking through the facility.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands
Must be able to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds manually.
A climate‑controlled office environment; the noise level is usually moderately quiet.
Exposure to frequent movement of motorized equipment throughout the facility, including electric pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.
