QC Receiving Inspector - Temporary Assignment

Responsibilities Maintains good knowledge of quality assurance inspection and good manufacturing practices. Maintains retain samples of incoming receiving material as per SOPs. Maintains hard-copy reports of incoming receiving of starting materials. Runs expired material report weekly and updates status labeling, retest as requested by either planning or project management team. Pulls new or changed component standards for approval by project management and maintains standard on file for future report of components. Inspect, review, and approve incoming materials/components against approved customer standards. Facilitates maintenance of awareness and compliance with cGMP and safety regulations. Assist with physical testing in the lab as needed. Co-ordinates in-coming material receipts and disposition (release, quarantine, hold, reject, approve) with shipping, receiving and warehouse personnel. Maintain the standards log and provide a new sample to the lab when a sample expires. Maintains the sampling area/booth under current GMP conditions at all times. Communicate with project management, planning/purchasing and inventory department on any missing documentation, discrepancies, or damage material of incoming material during incoming inspection. Participates in Quality department training programs. Any additional duties or assignments as directed by immediate supervisor or the QA Manager. Qualifications Minimum High School Diploma (Two years college or equivalent preferred). Five+ years industry or related experience in cosmetic, device, food, or pharma. Previous inspecting, auditing or manufacturing experience - a plus. Effective communication skills - internal and customer to resolve issues.
