Fundraising Senior Director, Walk to End Alzheimer's Join the Alzheimer’s Association - Orange County Chapter as a Senior Director for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s® event.

Position Summary As Senior Director, Walk to End Alzheimer’s, you join an exclusive team of leaders responsible for implementing the world’s largest fundraiser for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. The event is a leading peer‑to‑peer fundraising platform and in 2024 was recognized as the #2 event in the country, achieving the largest dollar growth among the top 30 programs.

Your role focuses on cultivating key community connections, driving revenue, and leading volunteer teams to achieve fundraising and participation goals. You will oversee multiple peer‑to‑peer fundraising events, provide coaching and empowerment to volunteers, and manage staff training and mentoring to ensure long‑term success.

Responsibilities

Build and sustain corporate and community relationships that support event revenue and community participation.

Recruit, manage, and coach staff and volunteers to implement best practices.

Manage multiple volunteer‑led mass‑market events, ensuring revenue growth each year.

Create inclusive team environments and foster long‑term community relationships.

Achieve or surpass designated revenue, participant, and fundraising goals through corporate solicitation and community partnerships.

Prospect, cultivate, and steward event teams, sponsors, and participants.

Manage event budgets, set timelines and milestones, and use data to drive outcomes.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

7‑10 years of proven experience recruiting and mobilizing volunteers and community leaders, preferably in a peer‑to‑peer fundraising environment, or 7‑10 years of sales target achievement.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Demonstrated project management, budget oversight, and accountability processes.

Ability to supervise and manage Walk to End Alzheimer’s staff, including onboarding, training and development.

Track record of building sustainable corporate and community relationships.

Experience developing and implementing strategies to recruit high‑level and C‑Suite volunteer leadership.

Inclusive engagement with diverse communities.

Willingness to travel up to 50% by car, with occasional overnight or air travel.

Willingness to work evenings and weekends.

Physical ability to lift up to 25 lbs of materials.

Strong computer skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office, social media, and Luminate/Convio software.

Reports To Executive Director

Compensation Salary range: $90,000 – $100,000, with a performance‑based incentive up to $13,000.
