Position Summary As Manager of Walk to End Alzheimer’s, you will lead the implementation of Walk to End Alzheimer’s®, the world’s largest fundraiser for Alzheimer’s care, support, and research. Walk to End Alzheimer’s® is a major peer-to-peer fundraising event in the United States. You will leverage networking and relationship-building skills to cultivate key community connections, drive revenue goals, and build sustainable volunteer committees. You will manage multiple peer-to-peer fundraising events annually, coach volunteers, and apply proven strategies to achieve event growth year over year.

What This Role Is Right For

You have demonstrated success in building sustainable corporate and community relationships that contribute to event revenue goals, greater community participation, and brand awareness.

You have recruited, managed, and coached volunteers to implement fundraising practices or can assimilate our training on peer-to-peer fundraising to recruit, manage, and coach volunteers.

You have managed multiple volunteer-led mass-market events with year-over-year revenue growth.

You are known as a convener, building a positive, inclusive team environment that fosters long-term community relationships.

You have achieved or surpassed revenue and participant goals through team and individual fundraising, corporate solicitation, and community partnerships.

You have demonstrated success in prospecting, cultivating, and stewarding event teams, sponsors, and participants.

You have excellent communication and organizational skills, including budget management, volunteer training, timelines, milestones, and data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

3–5 years of proven experience in recruiting and mobilizing volunteers to achieve goals, or 3–5 years of successful experience meeting sales targets

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Confident, goal-oriented self-starter able to work independently and collaboratively

Ability to develop and nurture corporate relationships and partnerships

Ability to manage large numbers of volunteers with diplomacy

Commitment to inclusion and ability to work in a matrixed organization

Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication

Ability and willingness to travel up to 60% within the assigned territory; valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, good driving record, and proof of insurance

Ability to work some evenings and weekends for committee meetings and events

Ability to lift and transport up to 25 lbs of materials

Strong computer skills; proficient with Microsoft Office and social media; experience with Luminate/Convio or the ability to rapidly learn it

Position Grade & Compensation:

Grade 305

The Alzheimer’s Association’s good faith salary range is $65,000 – $70,000. A performance-based incentive opportunity up to $13,000 may apply based on portfolio size and quarterly goals.
