Solution Engineer
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated
Solution Engineer
to join our Global Presales team. In this pivotal role, you will be the technical expert during the sales process, bridging the gap between our clients' business needs and our technical solutions. You will partner with our sales team to scope, design, and articulate compelling technical solutions that win new business and support Kensium’s growth over the next 3–5 years.
Key Responsibilities
Contribute to Sales Growth:
Consistently achieve or exceed team sales targets by providing critical technical expertise and building trust with prospects
Increase Win Rate:
Improve proposal success through effective solution design, compelling demonstrations, and clear communication of technical value
Enhance Solution Quality:
Design solutions aligned with client needs and technically feasible for delivery teams
Improve Sales Efficiency:
Streamline the technical sales cycle by proactively addressing potential obstacles and providing timely, accurate information
Conduct in-depth discovery sessions with prospective clients to understand business challenges, technical requirements, and long-term objectives
Architect and design high-level eCommerce and ERP integration solutions that address client needs across platforms
Develop and articulate solution options, including risks, costs, pros, and cons. Present proposals confidently to guide clients to the optimal solution
Customize and deliver tailored, engaging product demonstrations aligned to client business needs
Collaborate with sales teams to develop technical sections for proposals, RFPs, and Statements of Work (SOWs)
Lead and manage proof‑of‑concept (PoC) projects to validate solutions and reduce risk in the sales process
Work closely with partners, ISVs, delivery, and engineering teams to ensure seamless transitions from presales to execution
Stay current on market trends, product features, and roadmaps in eCommerce, ERP, and related technologies
Continuously improve knowledge, processes, and systems through data‑driven analysis and curiosity about Kensium’s offerings
Experience and Skills
Experience:
3+ years in presales, solution engineering, or technical consulting (preferably in eCommerce or ERP). Experience with B2B and/or B2C engagements is essential
Technical Expertise:
Strong understanding of eCommerce platforms including Shopify, BigCommerce, Magento, and/or Adobe Commerce Cloud, with 3+ years in presales, architecture, or implementation
ERP Knowledge:
Solid understanding of ERP systems with 3+ years of experience in one or more platforms such as Acumatica, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, Infor, Epicor, or SAP
Integration Knowledge:
Hands‑on or conceptual understanding of integration patterns, APIs (REST, SOAP), and middleware platforms
Communication:
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for both technical and non‑technical audiences
Problem‑Solving:
Strong analytical skills with a creative approach to solution design
Presentation Skills:
Proven ability to create and deliver engaging, persuasive presentations and demos
Value‑Based Sales:
Experience with complex selling and consultative/value‑based sales strategies
Collaboration:
Ability to work effectively with sales, marketing, and technical teams
Business Acumen:
Understanding of business processes and ability to connect technical solutions to business outcomes
