Base pay range $85.00/hr - $91.00/hr

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain backend services using Java (Spring Boot) and Ruby.

Design and optimize GraphQL and RESTful APIs for internal and external consumption.

Collaborate with product managers, technical leads, and other engineers to understand business and customer objectives.

Participate in technical discussions, root cause analysis, and performance tuning.

Contribute to CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Git, and Docker.

Maintain and enhance legacy Ruby codebases while migrating them to modern Java services.

Ensure application reliability through monitoring tools like New Relic, Splunk, or Grafana.

Deploy and manage services on AWS, leveraging Lambda, RDS, and API Gateway.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Engineering or equivalent.

3+ years of backend development experience.

Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and Ruby.

Experience with GraphQL schema design and query optimization.

Solid understanding of SQL (e.g., Postgres) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB).

Familiarity with APM tools and monitoring frameworks.

Experience with AWS cloud services and deployment strategies.

Familiarity with version control systems (Git), Agile methodologies, and DevOps practices.

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Compensation

Up to $91.55 per hour.
