Ability to control and increase your salary at your pace Job Details: This law firm is seeking a highly motivated, experienced Seasoned Associate Attorney with a strong background in commercial litigation. The ideal candidate will have a passion for law, a mind for strategic litigation, and a commitment to excellence. As an Associate Attorney, you will be responsible for managing your own caseload, working directly with clients, and spearheading our litigation department, while contributing to the overall success of our team. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development. Responsibilities: Manage all aspects of litigation, including taking and defending depositions, attending court, conferences, reviewing pleadings and preparing for and going to trial. Conduct legal research and draft complex pleadings, motions, briefs, and appeals. Regularly handle court appearances, mediations and depositions. Consult with clients to ascertain and address their legal needs. Review and Strategically Analyze Contract and Business Agreements Research and interpret laws, rulings, and regulations in a civil practice Draft and negotiate real estate transactions. Draft routine leases and amendments. Draft motions, motions for summary judgment; responses to MSJ; motions in limine, heavy motion practice Foreclosure defense including motion practice Eviction defense including motion practice Debt Settlement, defense and motion practice Commercial litigation defense and motion practice Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients in an effort to resolve cases favorably. Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality in interactions with clients, opposing counsel, court, and other parties. Contribute to firm growth by establishing and maintaining new clients and strong relationships with clients. Stay updated with changes in law, court decisions, and other legal matters that could impact the firm's clients. Qualifications: Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school. A minimum of 7 years of experience as an attorney, specifically in commercial litigation. Admission to the state bar and in good standing. Must be fully Bilingual English Spanish Proven experience in managing a full caseload. Excellent oral and written communication skills with a keen attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Ability to set and meet own deadlines in a fast-paced environment Proficient in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite. Unwavering ethics and a high level of professionalism. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to resolve disputes favorably for clients. Action Oriented, Organized and Confident Team Player
