Personal Financial Counselor - Fort Gregg-Adams, VA Location: Fort Lee, Virginia Employment type: Full-Time Pay: $53,125 per year Job Description
Provide personal financial counseling and management services directly to service members and their families. Assist service members in establishing a spending plan for extended absences. Develop and make available informational financial materials to service members and families. Coordinate, publicize and provide a wide variety of Personal Financial Management classes/workshops across the military lifecycle (e.g., arrival at first duty station, pre- and post-deployment, and related personal and career events outlined in DoDI 1322.34). Respond to requests for age-appropriate classes or seminars. Utilize virtual counseling or other electronic modes of communication (web-based, secure online chat, or video-based communications) as applicable; virtual PFC support may be authorized by the OSD FINRED Program office. Manage duty to warn situations according to DoD protocol. Communicate with leadership and participate in regular supervision, sharing trends and issues from the installations served. Participate in regular in-services/training, quality improvement committees or other contract activities as appropriate. All other duties as assigned. Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor's degree required. May consider an associate degree plus 4 years' experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree. May consider applicants with a high school diploma plus 6 years' experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree. 3+ years of financial counseling experience. Must be a U.S. citizen and fluent in English; bilingual in English and Spanish if required by the contract. Ability to obtain a favorable adjudication in a Tier 2 background investigation. Must have one of the following certifications: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC). General Information

Salary Range: Minimum $53,125; Maximum $84,995 This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data.
