Job Summary We are seeking a detail‑oriented Senior Accountant to support the financial operations of a growing pavement marking company backed by a private equity firm. This role is essential in supporting month‑end close processes, maintaining compliance with GAAP, and assisting with financial reporting in a fast‑paced, operationally complex environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform daily accounting functions including preparing and posting journal entries
Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts
Assist with month‑end and year‑end close processes
Support preparation of financial statements, management reports, and investor reporting packages
Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards (GAAP), and PE firm requirements
Help prepare audit and tax schedules and support external audit and tax requests
Support the integration of acquisitions, including opening new entities, setting up chart of accounts, and consolidations as needed
Manage and execute lease accounting activities, including preparing journal entries, maintaining lease schedules, and supporting financial disclosures
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
4‑6 years of accounting experience, with a strong preference for public accounting or audit background
Experience in a PE‑backed or high‑growth environment is a plus
CPA or CPA track is preferred
Experience preparing or supporting financial audits (internal or external), including audit schedules and documentation
Skills & Competencies
Advanced Excel skills; ability to manipulate and analyze large data sets
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, multi‑entity, deadline‑driven environment
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Self‑starter with a mindset for continuous improvement and efficiency
