Position Overview We are seeking a Physical Therapist to deliver high-quality, compassionate care to infants, toddlers, preschool, and school-aged children. Typical caseload expectations:
White Plains:
10-13 daily
Yonkers:
10-13 daily
You’ll conduct functional assessments, develop therapeutic plans, and work collaboratively with families and interdisciplinary teams to support each child’s developmental journey.
Key Responsibilities
Serve students in compliance with IEP or IFSP mandates.
Conduct functional physical therapy evaluations; document findings and progress using evidence-based practices.
Collaborate with education staff, families, and other professionals to strategize and implement IEP services.
Provide input on assistive technology, adaptive equipment, and orthotic needs—and assist with fabrication when applicable.
Maintain accurate records and goal tracking per SED/EI requirements and school policy.
Mentor physical therapy students and support affiliation programs.
Participate in professional development plans—both individual and school-wide—to enhance clinical and educational practices
Uphold standards for quality, safety, compliance, and positive workplace culture; participate in mandated trainings.
Assist school operations as assigned by administration.

Frequent interruptions and occasional extended hours or role shifts may be required.

Education & Certification
Bachelor\'s degree (minimum); Master’s or Doctorate preferred.
Valid NYS Physical Therapy License.
NYS PT Certification & Registration Certificate required
NPI Number Required
Experience
New graduates with pediatric experience encouraged to apply.
At least 1 year of pediatric physical therapy experience preferred.
Skills & Requirements
Excellent verbal and written communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Strong interpersonal skills to engage effectively with families and multi-agency teams.
Meet all health and safety standards as per NYDOH and organizational guidelines.
Physical ability to lift/move at least 35 lbs, assist in emergency evacuations, and handle potential exposure to bodily fluids.
Fluency in English.
