Condux is a 70-employee manufacturing leader rooted in the Mankato community. We’re seeking a hands-on HR Manager to own the full spectrum of human resources—from day-to-day operations to strategic initiatives that support our growing team
Essential Duties
Partner with leadership to align HR practices with business goals, including talent strategy, retention, and succession planning
Manage full-cycle recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding for both staff and exempt roles
Design, implement, and monitor employee engagement programs, including pulse survey’s, focus groups, and action-plan follow-through
Oversee employee relations: conduct investigations, facilitate disciplinary meetings, and handle terminations with discretion
Oversee workers’ compensation claims, manage return-to-work processes, and ensure workplace safety and OSHA compliance
Administer benefits programs; guide employees through enrollment, leaves of absence (FMLA, MN Paid Leave), and accommodations
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, and keep policies up to date
Maintain HRIS (Paylocity) data integrity and generate reports to inform decision-making
Coordinate multi-state employment compliance for remote personnel
Additional Responsibilities
Develop and deliver employee training on topics like performance management, harassment prevention, and company culture
Serve as the “go-to” resource for managers and staff on HR questions and policy interpretations
Support Strategic projects such as handbook updates, performance-management programs, and diversity initiatives
Collaborate on special employee initiatives
Requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred; candidates without a degree must have 5-7 years of progressive HR experience in lieu of a degree.
3–5 years of progressive HR experience, ideally in a manufacturing or operations environment
Proven ability to balance tactical tasks (onboarding, benefits administration) with strategic projects (handbook updates, performance programs)
Strong knowledge of employment laws and best practices in Minnesota
Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and organizational skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to quickly learn HRIS/talent management systems (Paylocity)
SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: $80,000–$95,000 annually, commensurate with experience
