As a Unarmed Security Guard - Access Control in Santa Fe Springs, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more.

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment within a dynamic logistics and distribution location. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entry and exit points, conducting routine patrols, and remaining highly visible to support a positive atmosphere. • Mon: 10:00 PM - 06:30 AM
• Tue: 10:00 PM - 06:30 AM
• Fri: 10:00 PM - 06:30 AM
• Sat: 10:00 PM - 06:30 AM
• Sun: 10:00 PM - 06:30 AM

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Assist with access control procedures for personnel, visitors, and vehicles entering and exiting the logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other designated areas to help deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Provide customer service by answering questions and assisting individuals in accordance with site-specific policies and procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to observe and report any security-related concerns.
• Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and activities as required by Allied Universal and site policies.
• Support emergency response activities as needed, including assisting with evacuations and/or other procedures.
• Collaborate with site staff and Allied Universal team members to maintain a secure environment for all personnel and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
