CapEx Project Engineer

Join to apply for the CapEx Project Engineer role at Randstad USA. A CapEx Project Engineer is needed for a leading food manufacturing organization. You will be responsible for leading a variety of complex plant projects ranging from equipment installations, building upgrades, MEP enhancements, and related facility modernization. Qualified candidates must have 2+ years of leading complex plant projects for a food production facility, a BS in Engineering. Candidates with a poultry manufacturing background are preferred, and the client will consider 10+ years of relevant experience without a degree. This is a direct hire role supporting regional facilities. Candidates can expect to travel regionally up to 75% of the time and work remote when not at a plant. Candidates must be within a 3 hour driving distance of Harrisonburg VA, with Richmond, VA, Roanoke, or western DC metro area being the nearest metro areas. Relocation is available for qualified candidates. This opportunity carries excellent bonus potential. Location: Harrisonburg, Virginia | Job type: Permanent | Salary: 100,000 - 135,000 per year | Work hours: 8am to 4pm | Education: Bachelors Lead cross functional teams on projects ranging from plant capital machine investments, facilities projects targeted to grow business and reduce operating costs, and improve operability of the site. Work with vendors and sub-contractors to determine project scope, budget, and schedules. Determine project specifications by studying product design, plant requirements, performance standard and completing technical studies. Determine project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements, assigning personnel to phases and elements, and reviewing bids from contractors. Minimum 2 years of experience. Bachelor's degree.
