IT Audit Experienced Associate, IS Assurance
Join BDO USA as an IT Audit Experienced Associate, IS Assurance. In this role you will help the assurance team assess controls, test IT general controls, and support the application of audit standards in IT environments.
Responsibilities
Utilize project management skills to assist in risk assessment, control testing, and evaluation of IT to determine impact of IT‑related risks and controls on financial audit procedures.
Test IT general controls (ITGCs) including IT system logical access, change management, and IT operational controls.
Test business process controls key reports and information produced by entities (IPE) for various client industry environments.
Document results of procedures, deficiencies; assess impact on overall financial reporting control environment.
Prepare required communications to the client; identify issues and bring them to the attention of the team and management.
Maintain an organized approach to assigned tasks; provide status reporting to the team and management.
Coordinate with clients on requested information; ensure timely receipt of materials.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Computer Science, or Information Systems.
One (1) or more years of IT audit and/or related risk and controls experience.
Public accounting experience preferred.
Experience with PCAOB and AICPA audit standards preferred.
CPA, CISA, CISM, CRISC, CGEIT, CISSP and/or CFE certification highly preferred.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
Exposure to various industry ERP applications highly preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong analytical and basic research skills.
Solid organizational skills and ability to meet project deadlines.
Ability to work in a deadline‑driven environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Compensation National Range: $70,000 - $82,000
