IAM IT Manager
UF Information Technology (UFIT) is currently seeking a professional-level IAM IT Manager to join Infrastructure and Communication Technology (ICT) within UFIT. This role is an excellent opportunity to work with dedicated colleagues focused on understanding and interpreting the technological needs of the University of Florida’s innovative community.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical leadership to the IAM team to maintain highly available identity & access management systems.
Design, implement, and manage IAM infrastructure components.
Implement automated workflows to maintain availability and reliability of critical systems.
Collaborate with stakeholders to improve existing workloads and devise innovative solutions.
Research new technologies and assist in business‑case preparation for future initiatives.
Required Qualifications Master’s degree and two years of relevant experience; or bachelor’s degree and four years; or associate’s degree and six years. Appropriate college coursework or vocational training may substitute at an equivalent rate but does not negate the minimum degree requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced technical knowledge of Linux and/or Windows operating systems.
Advanced knowledge of container technology using Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
Technical knowledge of SAML and OIDC.
Understanding of PKI.
Advanced ability to automate tasks using Python and/or PowerShell and Git.
Experience with infrastructure orchestration tools such as Terraform and Git for version control.
Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
Experience with monitoring tools such as Zabbix, Nagios, and/or Grafana stack.
Familiarity with RDBMS such as PostgreSQL, MySQL and/or Oracle including building SQL queries.
Familiarity with API management tools.
Familiarity with messaging platforms such as RabbitMQ.
Familiarity with managing Active Directory, Shibboleth, Grouper, and Duo MFA infrastructure.
Familiarity with code development methodologies, testing and debugging.
