Primary Functions And Essential Responsibilities
Maintain and continually improve the credit fund models and data analytics tools with heavy focus on Anaplan, data modeling and Power BI.
Upload collected data into the relevant system/database, perform initial checks for omissions and accuracy, and liaise with data providers to resolve issues.
Support implementation of new systems and processes, including data collection, testing, analysis, presentation and rollout.
Prepare and assist with ad‑hoc business reporting, analysis and business partner requests, working in conjunction with colleagues in Los Angeles to ensure timely response.
Support group‑wide efforts to improve consistency, accuracy and efficiency of information.
Use the fund models to perform sensitivity analysis and identify key historical and projection information to answer questions from investment, investor relation and fund accounting teams.
Compare and evaluate previous budgets and forecasts, and perform variance analysis to explain differences in performance and improve going forward.
Coordinate with accounting, investor relations and partners to gather and update key inputs for fund models on a timely basis.
Qualifications
0‑3 years of relevant work experience with strong interest in data science, technology, automation and data structures. Prior internship experience will be considered along with strong technical/data analytics skills.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Financial Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Accounting) from an accredited institution.
General Requirements
Strong financial modeling and willingness to learn new platforms/systems to continuously improve and increase automation. Prior experience with Anaplan is a plus.
Interest in designing, building and maintaining complex, dynamic models that drive decision‑making.
Exceptional problem‑solving and analytical skills – ability to translate business requirements and ad‑hoc requests into scalable, efficient modeling solutions that provide actionable insights.
Advanced proficiency in Power BI, including data modeling, DAX and creating interactive dashboards.
Strategic and critical thinking.
Experience in accounting/finance in asset management is a plus.
Knowledge of investment performance standards, fund structures, alternative investments, securitization or other investment products preferred. Credit and fund knowledge – familiarity with fund structures, credit risk concepts, capital calls, distributions and performance metrics.
Strong communication skills will be important; ability to analyze and summarize complex information both verbally and in writing with colleagues.
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills; attention to detail and timelines required.
Reporting Relationships Senior Associate, Financial Planning & Analysis
Compensation The anticipated base salary range for this position is $80,000 – $100,000. Total compensation may also include a discretionary performance‑based bonus. The range takes into account a broad spectrum of qualifications, including, but not limited to, years of relevant work experience, education and other relevant qualifications specific to the role.
